{ true confessions.

ooc name or nickname; jill
age; 16
years of roleplaying; close to four
roleplay sample;Jon watched with critical brown eyes as the girl shifted in her chair. She got this look about her face that let him know that her mind was no longer set on the present, either the past or the future, but not what was happening at that point. And some people might have been offended, but not Jon. He realized that Annabelle most likely had way more important things on her mind than lunch with him. Okay, he didn't really like to put it that way, but I guess it was more meant to say that she probably had loads on her mind. And when she told him that her brother was back, he knew for a fact that she had a lot on her mind. He wasn't exactly sure what he should or could do for her. He tried putting himself in her position, but still was unsure of what he would even do in a situation. Probably ignore the guy and kick him out. It sort of depended on how angry Jon was with him. For small things, it was easy for Jon to forgive and forget, but when someone betrayed him or hurt him deeply, he held a grudge for a very long time; sometimes so long it was a bit unhealthy. And you wouldn't expect that from cute fun loving Jon, but hey, everyone has their somewhat dark side. That was about as dark as Jon got. Except when someone threatened him or a friend. Then you wouldn't even recognize Jon because of the way in which he acted. He held himself together very well almost all of the time, but sometimes something would just trigger his anger and set him off. You would definitely not want to be there then.

He reclined back in the booth and continued to watch her, committing every detail to memory. She shook her head and for a moment Jon was confused about the expression, but when no words ensued, reasoned that she was disagreeing with herself, or something, and it had nothing to do with Jon or anything he had done. He was a bit surprised to have her rush over to him, but was thankful for it none the less. He returned the hug, holding there for only a second. This time the kiss only made him blush a tiny bit. He knew that this one was more of a 'thank you' kiss than anything else. And for now, he was alright with that. Someday he'd want something more, but he understood that he would just have to wait. Be patient. He knew very well that pushing her to something she might not want to do was a very good way to loose a very good friend. And that he surely did not want.

To her words he gave a small shrug of his shoulders as to say 'it was nothing' but the look in his eyes was warm and sweet, letting her know how glad he was that she liked it. He told her,

As are you Annabelle.

Simple words with a deep meaning, oh yeah, Jon was good. He watched her with a small smile as she put on the bracelet, thank god it fit, it would have been horrible to have it not. He was a bit curious as to why she looked like she was about to cry, and thought for a moment he had done something wrong. But her next words put him at ease and he simply responded,

Well then I'm glad someone did.

His smile that came next was a classic Jon one. It was filled with warmth, caring and compassion. It put you at ease and made you feel like you could tell him anything and everything about your life and he would never tell another soul. It was comforting and calming, letting you know that while all may not be okay now, it will be soon. He hoped it would have the same effect on Annabelle, she seemed to need it. Soon the food was placed in front of him, and he tried not to tear into it too much, they were in public after all. He glanced over at her from beneath his hair, noticing the daintily small bites she was taking and a tiny grin tugged at his lips. He lifted his head up and looked at her when she spoke, realizing she was talking about her brother. After she finished he thought for a moment while taking a sip of his drink and asked her cautiously,

Does he deserve it?

He was unsure of how his words would be received, but he felt the need to say them. He realized that Annabelle had been there for Justin only to have him let her down, but he also felt that family was supposed to be there for each other, and since they had no parents, she should be even if it meant the possibility of history repeating itself. Jon then began to question about her parents. He didn't know anything about or concerning them, only that they weren't there. He was still unsure if they had died or what, but figured that there was an appropriate time to pry, and this was definitely not it. His thoughts were disrupted by Annabelle's words, Jon tilting his face up to see her, pasta hanging half out his mouth. On anyone else it would have been disgusting, but somehow Jon managed to pull it off and make it look cute. He quickly ate it and wiped his mouth and gave her a 'huh?' look. He of course, was clueless as to what she was referring to. How funny.

The food was excellent, and Jon was glad to have picked this place. Nothing better than Italian. He wasn't a poor cook either, believe it or not, just recently he had run out of time to make more than something microwaveable or carry out. He reminded himself that he needed to make time; this food was too good not to have. To her next words he grinned and told her,

Well you deserve it. It's no big deal.

He thought about that for half a second and then said,

Okay, maybe it is a bit of a deal. I spent two hours in there trying to pick something out. Next time I'll just bring you along. Glad you like them though.

And he was happy. For two reasons. One, he had picked out the right things. Two, she seemed genuinely happy, giving him a real smile that he'd never forget. As far as he was concerned, that afternoon couldn't get any better. He remembered the dog and asked,

{ there's a story for everything.

full name; jonathan nicholas richards
nicknames; jon
years of life; 17
year in school; junior
born as a; male
parents; father: james richards (42)
mother: hellen richards (36)
siblings;sarah richards (13)

{ let's go deeper.

appearance; There are no tattoos or piercings to speak of for him. No tattoos because Jon doesn't really see the point in them, though it's not to say he's against them. He won't make a rude comment or try to dissuade you from getting one, just make sure you know what you're getting in to. He did have a piercing, once upon a time. Ok, so maybe it wasn't that long ago. But a good friend of his, a girl, was worried about getting her ears pierced, so Jon went with her and got his left ear pierced. Only later did he remember that you weren't allowed to have them in basketball, so he took it out. And then he just never remembered to put it back in, so the hole closed up. He's toyed with the idea of getting it pierced but really has yet to take any action, and probably won't till he stops playing basketball. Which may be never.

His hair is perhaps the thing that annoys him most about his self. His hair is a dark brown that borders on black, but not quite there. He used to keep it cut short so it would stay out of his way, but now he has sort of given up on that. His hair is getting shaggier each day, always ending up in some sort of floppy mess that for some reason attracts girls. Jon gets annoyed by it constantly falling in his face, but has yet to get annoyed with it enough to cut it off. Whenever he mentions getting it cut again his female friends always protest and say he looks way hotter with it shaggy. So for that reason he keeps it long, even though it's almost constantly covering his eyes.

His eyes are deep chocolate brown. Honestly, it looks like someone melted a Hershey bar and that's the color of his eyes. They're softer, not so striking as others might be. But it's the soft gentleness they hold that ads some sweetness to the boy. They're deep and full of understanding, and there's something about them that just makes you feel like you can trust him with anything. He's got gentle eyes that draw people to him; they show how sweet he really is.

The boy is a skyscraping 6'2". He's a basketball player, what do you really expect? A four foot little munchkin? Jon weighs a healthy 223 pounds. All muscle. Or so he likes to think. For the most part, that statement is probably true; he does work out 4-6 times a week. But he doesn't do it to look good, that's just a bonus. No, he does it to stay in shape for basketball, visiting the gym whenever he can. Some people watch TV or scrapbook, Jon works out. You could say it's almost a hobby. It's just because he's so dedicated to his sport that he wants to make sure that he's the best he can be for as long as he can be. Nothing wrong with that.

From playing basketball for let's see, 12 years is it now, of course he's going to have some scars. A long but light colored one runs the length of his shin from being tripped in a game and getting cut by the little metal piece on the guy's shoe when he was 12. On his right elbow he is forever branded with a tiny scar from ice skating with someone and having them pull him down when they fell, cutting him on their skates. And lastly he has got a scar from stitches he had to get on his chin after yet another basketball incident. Lucky for him none of them are too big or colorful so they don't really stand out against his skin.
flaws; I'd love to say that he has none and is perfect, but nobody's perfect, right? First off, Jon's major flaw is that he's nice, to a fault. He often times lets other people run his life as opposed to him doing so. He'll stop studying if a girl calls and tells him she needs a ride. Or drags him to the mall. As much as he likes hinging with his friends, sometimes they control what he does mroe than he does. Along with this fault, Jon can also be too trusting. He'll be convinced a person would never hurt him only to turn around and find out his girlfriend has run off with said friend, or whatever. He's got good intentions, but sometimes too big of a heart.
goals; Jon has been playing basketball since he can remember. So, naturally, his goals include basketball and playing it proffesionally. He would love to go pro but knows that it might not happen. He spends all his extra time practising so it can happen, but he's got his back-ups in case it doesn't.
likes; +basketball
+music
+his guitar
+food
+girls
+sports
+Italian food
+lemonade
+comedies
dislikes;-rude people
-aggravating people
-clingy people
-orange juice
-bad music
-losing
-fighting with friends
-being put in the spotlight
-embarrassing himself (though he seems to do it a lot)
secrets; Jon's got secrets, it just depends on which person. Most guys think he's a player, with all the girls they always see him with. In truth, Jon's just friends with them all, too clueless to realize that they actually like him. Most girls think he's not clueless, just very picky and hard to get when it comes to dating. And no one knows about Christina. Not so much because there's a big secret, but because he doesn't want every guy asking "Is she hot, is she hot? How's she in bed?" And the girls don't need to know, because well, he doesn't want to look like a total looser. Other than that, there's not much the boy keeps from others.
personality; Jon isn't really your average jock. And yes, you may have heard that before. But the guy really is a sweetheart, sometimes even to a fault. With friends he makes a point to truly get to know them. And he takes note of when their birthdays are so he can do something then for them. He's always a shoulder to cry on for people, mostly girls. Girls tend to become friends with Jon in hopes of dating him but he always only sees them as friends. Once they accept this they start to ask him for advice and such which he has no problem with. And he doesn't date them not because he thinks he's too good but the exact opposite. He doesn't think he's that great of a guy and so he just looks at them as friends.

On the basketball court he's a whole different guy. This laid back go-with-the-flow type guy instantly becomes aggressive and confident. He plays with all his heart and skills and that's what makes him such a great player. Even more he still keeps some of his level headedness and is never one to hog the ball, unless he finds it justified. He never makes a fuss about who gets to be captain and whatnot but is just happy to play. He's often the mediator of the team and works hard to keep them together. In addition to basketball, Jon also plays the guitar and is in love with music. He's into older rock bands like AC/DC and Metallica but also likes stuff from Jack Johnson and O.A.R. Jon has a fairly eclectic taste in music but stands by it.

In his group of friends Jon is always the one that doesn't really care what they do. He has no problem going to see a movie, hanging out at the mall or doing whatever else. He has his limits on the level of craziness, but for the most part just goes with what everyone else wants to do, a very accommodating guy. He'll hear other people out when they disagree with hi, but isn't afraid to express his opinions. A good trait he has is an open mind and a willingness to hear what others have to say. He's often very diplomatic and when two friends are fighting, he'll be the one to help them make up. The one thing he won't stand for is disrespect. He's punched a guy or two for how they treat some of his girl friends and has no regrets about doing so. He's not an idiot though and won't do it in school. Or at least he'll try not to.

When a girl is finally blunt enough for Jon to figure out that she likes him, and they go out, he's not too bad of a boyfriend. He's rather sweet and caring. He'll make sure to remember every single anniversary, parents and siblings birthdays, et cetra. He's also the kind of guy who'll give you a present for no reason. But all his relationships are doomed to end. First reason being basketball, hs one true love. Most girls don't like the idea of being replaced by a round orange ball and a few other sweaty guys. Another thing is all the girls Jon hangs out with. Jealousy is no stranger in these relationships. And after the last one failed and ended miserabley, Jon's taken a hiatus from dating, trying to play the field. Problem is he's got the biggest field in the world, and no clue where to start or how to play.
history; When Jon's parents fell madly in love, they decided they didn't want children until they were much older. Wooops, they sort of didn't count on Jon coming. But never the less they welcomed him and were certainly glad to have him now. His mother gets along very well with him, the two often acting like old buddies. His mom is rather high strung and Jon is lower key so normally she does all the talking and Jon will just nod his head. He and his dad get along well, but they don't tell each other everything. Hello, they're guys. Since when do men ever do that? But his dad expresses his interest in Jon's basketball games, coming to every one he can and using his position to get Jon all the best training and opportunities he can. Something about him never being able to play baseball when he was a kid, so now he's fixing his past through Jon. And Jon has no problem with it what so ever.

Now this may surprise you but originally, the family lived in Los Angeles. LA is certainly not somewhere you would expect to find Jon. He managed to fit in somehow amongst all the drugs and wild parties. He made some great friends there that he'll never forget. His dad's job moved the family out of their Los Angeles apartment and into Middleburg Virginia when Jon was 10. Now Middleburg was more his style. It was smaller and more country-esque. But the people there were filthy stinking rich and Jon hadn't realized till they moved there that they were too. Huh, just one of those things he never really thought about I guess. There he met his best friend to this very day, Miss Christina Chambers. The two became the best of friends within minutes of meeting each other, her slightly out going personality complimenting his laid back one. Plus she could play basketball fairly well and was very athletic so she'd get up every morning at 5 am and help Jon train, that lucky guy. Problems arose when the pair got into Middle school and people began to spread nasty rumors about them being more than just friends. The pair brushed it off, they knew where they stood. Those two were closer than close could be, even having rooms for each other at their houses because the others stayed over so often.

Now sadly at age 14 Jon was ripped from his best friend and the life there he loved and moved here. Now he wasn't so psyched to come here, regretting being on the other half of the world from Christina. But he wasn't going to put up a big fight about it because he knew it would only anger his dad and make his mom feel guiltier than she already did. So reluctantly he packed up his stuff, gave Chris one monster of a hug and boarded that plane to take him here.

For all the horror he was expecting this place to be, he settled in with very few problems. Of course it was weird starting High School with all these people he didn't know and for most of his freshman year, he desperately wished for Christina to be there. But he got through it and found sophomore year much easier, he had made tons of friends by then. And while he prefers the smaller cities, he's having no problem with this one. If you asked nicely, he'd probably even tell you he likes it. Though his favorite memory has got to be when his parents flew Christina down for his 16thh birthday and had her pop out of the cake like some stripper. One of the funniest moments in his life, and he'll never forget it. So he's settled in here, still playing basketball and adjusting to this life. It's a pretty good one, wouldn't you say?
