The question came off naturally and it could have passed as genuine without the smirk. A cautious eyes turned toward the door where there parents stood talking before rolling back over to their prey, a petite blonde girl.

"Well?"

Lifting herself off the wall and crossing her arms, the girl with brown hair and light pink sweater circled the girl, still awaiting her response. Her lips were coated with a light pink shimmery gloss, her hair was tied back into a ponytail, secured by a pink bow to match her outfit, and her neck was a decorated with a single strand of pearls that her fingers constantly touched.
"I don't know what you do in your personal time, Gretchen, but some people don't go around sleeping with every man they see--teachers included," the girl retorted, her own arms crossing in an attempt to match the intensity put out by her predator.

Whether it was intended or not, though she had a feeling the intention was there, Gretchen stopped her circle behind the girl's back. "Are you trying to imply something, Cheryl? Because I really don't think you want to do that." Cheryl quickly turned to face Gretchen, who met her with narrowed eyes that could turn anyone into stone.

"I know what you did on Tuesday. I know who you did it with..and I know that you liked it a lot. Him, I'm not too sure about, but I bet you feel guilty. I mean, he did have a family. A wife and twin terrors. Cute kids though."

Samantha was born to start a riot, or at least that’s what her mother always told her. Born to an outgoing stage actress-turned-housewife and a introverted yet deceptive casino owner, Samantha was bound to have an interesting personality. From an early age, Samantha was often compared to her mother. They both shared an infectious smile, bubbly personality and a certain flare when it came to giving people what they wanted. Charlotte Duncan, her mother, always knew how to work off of a person’s personality, it helped when she was working with audience members and in performances. Samantha quickly applied the trait to every day life. As for Vincent Duncan’s personality, her worst qualities are all because of him. Samantha would be the first to admit she often gambles with her life. Like a parasite, she thirsts for danger and excitement, often causing her to do foolish things. And when she isn’t gambling with her own life, she’s gambling with someone else’s. Samantha has a way of getting information and when she gets it you better stay in line with her. Not like it matters though. She’s more than willing to lose a friend over entertainment.

There’s another side of Sam that she’s developed on her own. Behind the outgoing, energetic girl roaming the hallways, part predator and part princess, there is a vulnerable girl. At the age of fifteen Samantha was raped by someone she had trusted. Fifteen was the age she was just starting high school and making new friends and trying new things. That year she had done cheerleading, along with dance team and soccer, and met a guy by the name of Eric. He was cute, popular, and a football meets he always smiled at her. They talked a lot, at lockers, parties and after school, but it took three months for him to ask her on a post-game date. That night, everything started with a simple kiss in his car and as the minutes passed his hands began to wander and her pleads began to increase. She was screaming at the top of her lungs and pounding at the windows yet no one came to her rescue. That night she gave up hope in Prince Charming and has since become promiscuous with numerous sexual partners.

Samantha Elise Duncan was born in Las Vegas to an actress and a casino owner. Even after the births of her two sisters and brother, Sam was daddy’s little girl. According to her mother, that was the reason she was so spoiled. Vincent Duncan showed off his little girl and always came home with a surprise just for her. A new doll, a kitten, a bracelet. Samantha was always a princess to her father and soon enough she began to believe it herself. Then one day out of the blue, at least to six-year-old Samantha, Vincent and Charlotte began to fight. All night Samantha and her brother Casey would listen to their parents arguing until the day her father didn’t come back. It was a silent breakfast she would never forget. Where was her father and why wasn’t she with him? It was the moment that changed her relationship with him. Samantha and her siblings moved to Spring Valley with their mother while their father opted to stay in Las Vegas. The last time Sam saw her father was at her 8th birthday.

Samantha has had many hardships in her life that she’s handled with a smile on her face. Although it is most often fake bravery or for the sake of others, Sam always makes sure she’s strong, especially for her family. Though they have their ups and their downs, since her father left, Samantha has acquired the role of protector, looking over Molly, Anna and Casey even when they claim they don’t need her. Sam is relatively close with her family though they only know about her exploits through rumors and their own speculation. She is warming up to the idea of her stepfather, realizing he is a nice guy and he does make her mother happy. But when it comes to her step-sister, Dixie, there really is nothing warm about their relationship. Sam, admittedly, is a girl with many enemies, but when you’re sleeping feet away from an enemy it’s hard to become friends.

Since a young age Sam has been a social person when it came to friends in general and getting involved with groups. Always the first on the dance floor if someone is shy, Sam is hardly ever embarrassed. Born to steal attention away from people, Sam does all she can to be the ultimate drama queen. Making a life out of gossiping, being catty and shopping all night, Sam demands all the attention she can. And if she has her way, Spring Valley will never forget Samantha Duncan.
